EAT YOUR BIGGEST MEAL BEFORE 1PM

I don't know where I read it on the internet, but I do recall reading somewhere that we, western culture, eat backwards, calorie wise.  We often skip breakfast, grabbing coffee to go, have a light salad lunch, if we get lunch at all, and then have a huge calorie filled dinner with all the trimmings, including rolls drenched in butter and dessert of a huge slice of cake or bowl of ice cream.  Oh and let us not forget a little  something before bed, perhaps another bowl of ice cream???

Here’s the theory. When we are running around busy we don’t eat. When we are lounging, resting, not doing anything, we eat and eat and eat.  If we simply turned those two things around and ate during our busy times and not so many calories during our lounging times, that alone, should cause us to lose weight.

Of course counting calories is also a must.  It really is calories in vs calories out.  If you are hungry and just can’t survive on 1200 calories a day, then get busy moving around and doing stuff.  Then you can ‘afford’ to eat more. OH but that is beginning to sound like another tip for another day.

So, today, maybe for a week, do your own experiment and have a big breakfast. Maybe make an egg white omelet with cheese and sausage (fake sausage if you are a vegetarian like me) and some fruit.  Heck, put real sugar in that morning coffee!  Have a big lunch and try to get in 300 to 400 calories! But by dinner time, maybe just some celery +1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese + cantaloupe slices for dessert. That should be less than 200 calories.  See if you notice a difference on the scales in a week.

I have been doing this for a week or so and it has worked for me! SO YEAH! Food!!!! In the mornings! ;-)
