I am starting to prepare for my new and improved health journey... It hasn't been easy to get back on track to a healthy life and eating habits!! However, I am not a quitter and look forward to the challenges set before me!!! 

My main reasons overall to join this group is to challenge myself, build confidence and self esteem, gather insightful knowledge from other participants and cheer them on as we do this together and move forward to a healthier and happier future!! Oh yes, to also lose weight, gain muscle and lead a well balanced lifestyle!

 Recently, I have noticed slight and subtle changes in my body, perhaps not too quick on my feet as I once was, and my age being a huge factor (don't let my young looks fool you, I'm nearing 50 in a couple years)... LOL,  also coupled with unhealthy eating habits and zero exercise, has lead to my body's demise.  Slowly but surely, these changes have been painful and almost debilitating to the point of giving up in spirit and motivation!

So lately, I have been doing research on a specific diet plan, basically concerning the bone and joint health.  The methods I was taught at a young age by my elders, parents, aunts, and other relatives, is surprisingly, not the right way to do things!! Unfortunately, all the tricks I had been using are causing health problems! 

Now, there is a plethora of information out there to satisfy any one, but I want to stick to the basics. Eat clean, exercise with a variety of techniques, ie, running, weight training, swimming (not a biathlon training) but more relaxed and at my own pace but still challenging, also proper sleep and dealing with every day stress management.

it seems I have a few days to prepare before I participate in my first diet bet and I know there are many things I can do to start! First off, clean out my cupboards of all the dangerous carbs and non essential fats I have accumulated over time, I think purging your life of unhealthy things is refreshing and will not tempt myself with the 3 chocolate bars I have tucked away hidden from my kids when they come to inspect my cupboards!  (Mom, you don't need to eat this, this is not healthy) those comments kinda stuck to my mind the last few days, while knowing full well those damn chocolate bars will stick to my belly.. So get rid of it!! ❤️
