Carla thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Everyone has a story when it comes to their weight loss, body image battle. I personally think that it's a female fault that we compare ourselves to others, men certainly don't or if they do don't feel so obsessively compelled to act on it.My background is that all of my family were VERY large and we ate enormous stodgy meals when I was a child. I went into my teen years dieting and haven't stopped since though now I have it pretty much under control in that I have a weight range I am happy with and try and stay inside it. Chocolate, wine and living well are my gremlins but my motivation is to see my grandchildren at their 21st parties and be in good health, dancing with the best of them (I'll be 80 for the first 82 for the second). It's all in the mind: you have to give yourself permission to enjoy yourself then shape up ( no pun intended) and be realistic about your goals and how you will achieve them.
