Oh my gosh....I swear you must have been in my head listening to my thoughts this morning. I have a few people in my life, just like what you talk about. I have finally learned this is obviously not a journey we can take together. We've tried. They want to do what they have always done, and they continue to get the same results. The same that I got when I "dieted" with them. I have finally learned they are not my motivators - they're enablers for my "cheats." A big reason I started buckling down was to motivate a friend whose daughter is getting married in September and she doesn't want to be overweight (we're about the same size, or were before I joined here). Now, she won't even comment on my weight loss, because she doesn't want to change her "diet" which is the same one she's done unsuccessfully for years. The "diet five days, binge for two, yo-yo diet." I emailed her again yesterday about the success and motivation of our group and the response was "I'm too social to be thin!"
