How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • I did cardio/chest/triceps last night at the gym. Still challenges, but getting a routine going.

I'm scared to ask people to share. One guy was hogging FOUR of the cable attachments (including the one I wanted). And every bench was being used (some even just for holding phones and peoples drinks. Rude.) What is normal gym etiquette? Just ask? Or be patient?

I'm very self-conscious about being fat at the gym (even at Planet Fitness, where there really are all sizes and shapes and ages). It hurts my feelings to see myself in the wall-to-wall mirrors because I'll be all pumped and confident and the reflection of my current reality is so defeating (I wish it was MOTIVATING!) Not giving up...I look forward to seeing the changes in my reflection as I progress.

Thank you Sea Tuttle, José B, and Tash for the really helpful support. Tammy you are not alone and everyone here supports you

. Asking kindly is better than not asking. If they are good people , then they will understand. If they don't, then let it go, and at least you learned something about that person and appreciate the other people at the gym who are nice!

I also bought weights to work out in my house and use an exercise app from BeachBody so I don't get into my own head in the gym.
