How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I’m learning/working on having a consistent mindset instead of “all or nothing”. This is so important for weight loss especially when you have a lot to lose. Do you struggle with consistency?

Hi jebun! Of course!
I try to focus on my overall forward (hopefully!) progress., and not a day, or week, or even month.
I make MUCH smaller goals for myself - like my current goal is 10lbs from August to November. That's nowhere near the DietBet goal - which is why I keep my game $ low :-) I focus on healthy choices and give myself breaks when I need them. Try picking a modest change and share it with the group. I do that also and the accountability helps. I hope this helps! Keep me posted!

I’m an all or nothing type person too. I try so hard to remember that a little bit every day is ok and I’ll still see progress.
