  • Tried something new for our small group this weekend: sloppy Joe bowls!

    I used about 2lb ground turkey and half a bag caulirice (could def use the whole bag in the future) in the sloppy Joe recipe I found online.

    Then, roasted sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, cauliflower florets and served alongside lettuce, pickles, cheese and pickled onions.

    It was a hit! Relatively simple (prepped most ahead) and cheap and I just served mine over a bed of the lettuce!

Yes! Once the turkey meat was browned, I added the cauliflower rice to the skillet just long enough to soften it and then I added it to a crock-Pot with all of the sauce ingredients and it totally took on the flavor and was unnoticeable! Plus, stretches your buck on the cost of meat haha
