I also do what Bean does. I use the TDEE calculator to figure out my maintaince calories and take off around 500 calories. So I do 1450 calories. I look for high protein, low calorie meals to be able to eat more but also feel fuller longer. I use the Aussie Fitness cookbook for some recipes.

Try and be conscience of what you are eating. Ex.Eating a 200cal candy bar vs 200cal in strawberries. It's healthier and you get more with the strawberries. Also try to avoid drinking your calories.
