←Back to All ActivityFirst of all, congrats to those who made it. This game had a 72% win rate!
For those expecting a bigger payout, here is some math:
913 who did not win put in $40 each, forming the pot of $36,520. Not sure if Dietbet was asserting they were throwing in the extra $5k themselves or if it's suggesting a lucky winner gets an extra $5k. We will assume the latter as the former just makes things look worse...
2,310 won and were paid an extra 3.49 each from the pot for a total of $8,061.90 (after also earning their own $40 back).
$8,061.90 went to winners from pot of $36,520 leaving $28,458.10. If we assume from this a lucky someone was paid $5K, that brings it down to $23,458.10 that went to Dietbet, the game host or any of the weekly prizes and giveaways these games often have.
For context, if Dietbet and the host kept $0 as payment and split the whole $36,520 pot among the winners, each of the 2,310 winners would've ony been paid $15.80 in addition to getting their $40 back.
So yes, you are making very little money from most of these games, but remember, the main point is for you to have a $40 incentive to say no to that cheatburger. Between Dietbet and the game host though, someone got a nice payday out of it, and that's the game.
