How do people deal with extreme soreness?

I finally started working out on Monday (leg day), and today my legs are killing me! It's another leg day today, but it's hard to even walk. I don't know how I'm supposed to lift weights when my legs are hurting so bad. Any tips??

The first week is the hardest. It's best to go back the second day and then at least 3 times per week.
