Does anyone have any tips to stay on track when traveling and eating out? Have a trip coming up, my hubby and in laws don't eat the healthiest so I'm little anxious about staying on track I would appreciate any tips.

If I’m going out to eat, I look at the menu before hand. I make sure to chose something that aligns with my goals ahead of time so I don’t make a bad decision in the moment

I love the “eat this, not that” series of books and website- they have loads of recommendations on how to order when dining at chains, and I agree with the others on preplanning your order and previewing the menu before you go out. I also bring portable snacks and eat a snack in private that can serve as a meal if the chosen restaurants have nothing for me.

  • 2nd meal prep of the day for lunch this week.
    High protein, high fiber pasta with my favorite Rao's sauce and Plant based ground beef.
    I will be adding broccoli just as a topper to my pasta. I am definitely not a pasta eater, but this weekend I am changing it up a little bit.

I love that pasta! I’m not a big pasta eater either but my family loves it so I made it this week too. I shredded zucchini in ours to add a veggie. Broccoli sounds like a good option too.

  • I had the best protein snack yesterday. I blended up cottage cheese & Put 2 tablespoons of truwhip, 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of zero sugar cheesecake pudding mix, With some berries and it was absolutely delicious! I definitely love making healthier Choice and continuing to lose weight.
    I can't remember the last time I had pudding mix but I guess all in moderation:)

Joanie- you can use any flavors you would like.Unfortunately, my stores out here only had the cheesecake:/

  • Had an active rest day with the hubby today walking at one of our favorite parks! Not all workouts have to be in the gym, & walking is something that can also make such a difference! Also pulled out some old clothes & they fit me again from the first time i lost weight so such a good non scale victory! Did you move today?
