Barely made it under the deadline to join, but wanted to start with a game with lots of participants. Just started a long journey to healthier habits, so I’m hoping for that bigger early loss to make it there.

  • Went to dinner tonight with the hubby at Red Lobster but just kept the menu simple with lightly blackened salmon, steamed broccoli & a baked potato! Eating out is possible & don't be afraid to order food the way that will help you reach your goals! I usually ask for my toppings on the side also (examples: sour cream/butter for potato, cinnamon on side of sweet potato, or salad dressings so i can use half) so that I can control calories or I'll stick with a side salad as my go to side, but tonight was a potato kind of night! How do you hack the menu when ordering out?

I am active in a Fraternal org. where last week we had 2 pot lucks and a charity public pork roast supper. I am trying to overcome my toxic trait of people-pleasing. The club President is not going to go home sad because I did not eat a slice of her pecan pie! So my holistic hack is to fill the plate with garden salad, leave a tiny bit of space for 2 or 3 favorite dishes, taking enough for two bites of each, miss the dessert table altogether, and bring my own water so I don't drink the ZaRex.

You can do unofficial weigh in’s. The app tracks them also. Look further down from the official weigh in. Under your weight and percentage. You will see “unofficial weigh in”

Hi Caitlin, Progress weigh ins are a perk of DietBet membership. If you aren't a member, then you will officially weigh in at the beginning and end of the game. As Petra said, you can update your weigh unofficially at any time from the game page, and that's true regardless of your membership status.
If you want to join the game length membership, you can do so from your game page on DietBet.com rather than through the app. The game length membership is $5 for a 4 week membership. If you join DietBet membership through the app, you will automatically be offered the annual membership for $50. Both are solid options depending on what you are looking for.

Hi everyone! I’m new here it’s my first challenge. I
Hope to stay motivated, I know it’s all mental and I want to feel better. I’m pretty active but I do admit it’s the cravings that get me😨 I also have a problem getting my protein in. Doing this with you all is very motivating it’s impressive to have 619 participants.. let’s do this! Even if I don’t win I know I will gain knowledge from this group. I’m so glad to be here. One thing I do for cravings that my nutritionist told me…take one treat and portion it out for a little bit each day, if needed. For example, it’s it’s a chocolate bar. Cut it up into 7 pieces and if you need it, then give yourself that one piece and that’s your piece for the day. You can do this with chips, sweet treats or whatever your craving is. Then you get a little, without over indulging.

You have to click on their name and then you can add them as friends but I'm not sure if that will make them more visible to you or not

Hey everyone! NW Washington here. I'm excited to get to know you all. Here for accountability and support. I did some Dietbets with Lexi and a few others years ago (I think my last was in 2020). I just returned from a trip to Europe and was so thankful I could do all the things I wanted, but it wasn't easy and I was feeling it in my knees. I'm ready to buckle down and get some more of this weight off to decrease limits to my life.
