LOL! thank you for this. I needed a good nap (Sorry it had to be at your expense!). It's nice to know others have trouble with napping -- the last time i tried to take one the toilet bowl decided to overflow on me. The adrenaline that accompanied my frenzied plunging made sure I didn't get any sleep that afternoon).

Haha love the punch line at the end :D
Excellent 'planner' with inefficient follow-through

I know the feeling!! Temptation is everywhere. But I'm finally learning: as easy as I can talk myself into a bad choice - I can talk myself out of it too. Just walk away. Also I meal prep for the whole week on Sunday or Monday. I bake 3-4 types of chicken in the oven (all at the same time). I chop up salad stuff and dedicate a whole drawer of my fridge to salads. I prep a pork or beef roast for the crock pot. My sweet husband likes to eat out and since I'm really trying to change my habits - I have to say "No, I have salad in the fridge already..." We both have this let-down feeling for a minute but we eat a salad and then we're SO PROUD of ourselves! The next time you try to talk yourself into a sugary treat - try talking yourself out of it and walking away. You'll be amazed, you always have an "out". Good luck!!!

Maybe planning meals really far in advance just doesn't work for you? I find that when I've planned what I'm going to eat for dinner in the morning, or even the night before, I immediately don't want that thing AT ALL. Instead, maybe just make sure your house is full of healthy food and when dinner comes along think "what should I have today?", pick something healthy that you feel like, and just make and eat that straight away. Sometimes over-thinking it means you end up sabotaging your own efforts! It's boring to feel like you can't just have any food you want just because you've already planned it. Good luck :)

I work 12 hour shifts in the hospital and generally on those days I don't have a structured work out. I take the stairs, do a few squats when I go to the bathroom, be sure to eat right and drink plenty of water. I figure the physically demanding aspect of working 12 hours is enough of a workout for me.
