Just personal loss. I lost 80 pounds from Jan 2012-Dec 2013. I have been stuck and have put about 15 pounds back on and can't seem to loose anymore, so I figured, why not find something new for motivation. I love to compete. :)

I read your post by chance and it touched me because I know exactly what you are feeling. It really is frustrating isn't it? When I was eating really fattening food and exercise was 0 my weight didn't go down but it didn't go up either. Now that I'm eating super clean, cardio + weights the lost is so minimal if any and slow (except for last wk cuz I couldn't really eat). Just keep going don't let the evil scale get to you, at the very least you are doing something good for your body and health and the darn thing will eventually move! Hugs best of luck to you!

Sometimes you have to eat more to lose more. Doesn't make sense? Yeah, I know. But if your body has at all decided that it is never sure if it is going to get enough calories, especially from carbs (it's favorite food), your body will go into starvation mode, and your basal metabolic rate will slow to a crawl and your weight loss will stop. I've just started a "carb-cycling" program that is supposed to trick your body to thinking carbs are so plentiful it nevers goes into that mode, but you still have low-carb days where you burn loads of fat. Anyhow, I've only been doing it a week, but I lost 3.8lbs in the first week after being in a quasi-plateau. Maybe it is time to switch it up and make friends with your carbs again (complex carbs, not sugar).

I know I am always concerned about what I ate or did in the past and looking at how much I need to lose total instead of concentrating on today.
