Girl, been there done that - I had a toothache that prevented me from eating crunchy, aka healthy foods. Do you have a blender to mix some summer fruits and sneak in a veggie? Not my advice, got that helpful tip from Carla Cali.

I do have a blender. I think I'll ask if smoothies are ok, maybe just anything liquid and cold will do the trick.

Why would you choose ice cream?? You cant try other frozen soft foods?

I'm not sure I have much of a choice, I'd have to ask my Ortho about it, but usually ice cream is what it is.
