What a great post Reggie! I agree with Julie that crowding out is a great strategy. Another strategy I like is learning what your triggers are and finding new behaviors for them (vs. using food). While not a simple process, it can be very effective and I have seen it work well with those who can self assess and reflect and are motivated to change. Although I do think for many, the situation IS complicated by the addiction to sugar and processed foods. That just makes it all harder and that circle just has to be broken. One book you might be interested in is "Always Hungry" - I confesss I have not read it cover to cover yet but have skimmed through and he has some interesting theories.
