Don't obsess on the past. Start fresh. Start now. If accountability helps you, get it. The app My Fitness Pal has been amazing for me to track my calories in and out. My username is CaraLynnette, if you want to add me. For exercise, you might join a class, walking/running group, or pick something that remembers when you were there last like wii fit or, my fav, NFL Training Camp.
You can do this. Don't let others put on your brakes. Besides, when your mom sees your results, maybe she'll try again.
PS - watch those salads out. Some of those dressings are horrendous. I was shocked when I looked them up.
