People are going to start to think that I'm working for the Powell Pack, or at least his book publisher...but I really don't care.
Here I metaphorically stand before you a person who has been addicted to food since probably high school. Regardless that people around me usually know me as a person who is 'in shape' I'm a person that has starved myself in the past, done atkins, eaten melba toast :P, ate food and spit it out when I was binging, binge ate, dreamed of food, driven 45 min to eat truffles and or bought $80 worth of bakery goods and eaten them in a night. I'm that person. I've worked out for years, because I do kind of like it....but also so I could eat more.
So why am I saying all of this, because all of that has changed in just over a wekk. I have not dreamed of food, I haven't had a single unhealthy eating habit; I've had a reward day on Sunday where I've eaten randomness (my current favorite being multiple flavors of frozen yogurt with fixings on top of each including chocolate chips or kit kats :) Here I stand before you, a mother of two (youngest 5 months old) saying I've never experienced weight loss like I have this past week and a half, I have never experienced more than 2 days in a row without massive cravings or withdraw from sugar. I've never been able to not binge eat until this past week and a half. I'm never hungry...except as the three hour mark approaches for me to eat. Eating smaller portions has killed all my cravings...and it's amazing.
On my low carb day, my trigger foods used to include nuts...now I eat 100 calorie crushed nuts (almonds, pecans, and walnuts) with some meals but even more lovely natural peanut butter which tastes so good.....especially on day two once its mixed and in the fridge :)
All my food is pre-cooked for the week and my fridge looks ocd beautiful :) but I just grab stuff and go. My favorite meals (about 130 grams of lettuce chopped with 2.5 oz of lean ground beef with 3-4 tbsp of newmans own salsa ....so yummy) or the same meal except with 3 oz of shredded chicken that I've cooked in a crock pot with newmans own salsa ...again so lovely.
All I can say, is if you are in any doubt look at my numbers. I'm not a sponser, I'm not a pusher...I'm simply somone who wished I would have done this sooner. I'm so much happier and my stress level has decreased ten fold.
My best advice...buy both of Chris Powell's books. Read the first one first. If you want faster weight loss look into the second book pretty fast to look into turbo cycling which is what I'm doing. Go to walmart, target...somewhere and buy mini containers and pre-cook your food. Pre-measure your stuff because my life each meal is so simple. You won't have to work out as much. Even on days that I just do t25 alpha round I'm losing weight. On days that I push myself I lose a crap load of weight :P
So simply put...it's amazing. I'm so excited to be on this journey with all of you!
I guess I'll step off my soap box now...enjoy your friday. Happy weekend :) I know my weekend is so exciting why becuase of a hc day where I get air popped popcorn (thank you amazon for delivering my new popper machine in 1 day as promised :) and my sweet potato with cinnamon thank you sweet potato gods for making a starchy vegetable that tastes like candy :P and for my reward day that only seems to rev up my metabolism more once I consume 1000+ calories of frozen yogurt and toppings...how that's even humanly possible is amazing. And finally thank you Powell pack (Chris and Heidi) for inspiring us and finally leading me to the promised land of happiness while being healthy. As of today I'm starting to see a not just a flat stomach but a packed stomach from the leaning that is happening on my body :)
