Yes...I believe this 100%. This was my missing link all these years (I've been struggling for 20 years). My promises are to workout 6 days per week (at least 15 min.), drink at least 80oz. of water daily, and eat 5 healthy meals per day (always including a protein, whole grain carb or fruit, and or veggies, and "healthy" fat). All very realistic and doable promises so I find myself working out 60 minutes on many days (that's gravy) and feeling amazing about myself (again 15 minutes is all I NEED to do right now) . I've kept those promises for 33 days and have lost 22 pounds. I have a mini goal to lose 17 more by mid November (My own "phase 2" goal). I plan to be my ideal weight by April 2015...making mini goals to achieve along the way while keeping promises.
