  • I broke my ankle on Tuesday. Grateful to have made it through the first round but worried about the next many weeks without much exercise. Going to give myself grace, stay focused on my nutrition, and count on these crutches giving me a good workout! đź’Ş

Oh no! I bet those crutches will help you burn some extra calories. Drunk lots of water to keep the inflammation down.

So sorry to hear that!

I am feeling this!

I’m going to have to buckle down this week. I just really love a peppermint mocha. So much.

How does everyone intend to keep being consistent? I find all goes well for a week or two, and then something in me snaps and I eat like mad to make up for it. So I’m looking for inspiration from you all!

I hear you there! Thinking of the bigger picture is super hard after a bit of a setback

Jess W

I have to try hard to not to let setbacks completely derail me. I’ll get the mindset that I messed up once, might as well screw up the whole day! I’ve been really focusing on my water intake to try to limit my snacking, we’ll see if it works!

How's it going for you? It's been four days since I returned from a 2-week work trip. I gained three pounds above my initial weigh-in while away from home. Ugh, I am not surprised but its frustrating. Thankfully, I believe tomorrow I will weigh-in at my starting weight. Then I will have 15 days to lose 7 lbs to meet my goal this month. I can do it. Being home makes it so much easier to succeed.

We have this!

I had the same issue post-Thanksgiving travel. I think a lot of it was water retention and I’m hoping today’s weight will be back to “normal”. But lots of work moving forward!

What are everyone’s strategies to not let Thanksgiving derail their progress? I plan to increase my movement a ton playing with my nieces and nephews!

I try to make sure that I enjoy the holiday and not turn it into enjoying the whole holiday season every day until January. So I give myself a day or two to indulge in some pie and bread, but then I try to ge back on track. I'm also going to try to add an afternoon walk into my schedule to fight the after lunch sleepiness.

DocMadeMeDoIt

I avoided Thanksgiving altogether. Showed up in the morning, stayed three hours and then left before the turkey feast was cooked and the bulk of the guests arrived with their casseroles.
