- My godmother, so sweet, steamed vegetables and made white rice for me. I don't usually have white rice but she made it taste so beautifully that I didn't mind it. She boiled it with half an onion onion and a few cloves of garlic, and she added a small bunch of fresh dill and fresh parsley. The flavor was light and lifting. I share it because I hadn't ever had white rice with herbs, and this turned me on to it. Are there any special blends of spices or herbs you enjoy with your rice?
