  • When it comes to sweets and treats, do you cut back or cut out when you are actively trying to lose weight? For me its easier not to take the first bite. However some people are able to satisfy their sweet tooth with small amounts of treats, like a square of dark chocolate. Which side do you fall on. In the long run a healthy lifestyle is easier to maintain if you practice moderation instead of deprivation. So what is your strategy?

It’s so hard because I love sweets. It’s better when I don’t indulge at all, but more often I’ll just have a “bite.” :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Same! I’m an all or nothing person. Can’t trust myself to bring sugar home whatsoever. But only way to truly stay on track is to replace the sugar with eating very good and tasty food, so I don’t feel like I’m missing out, or the dreaded I hate eating because food no longer has any flavor.

I try to work on better habits - start my day with 20 ounces of water… working out as soon as I get home… cutting back on sugar & carbs… some days are better than others!

I heard it on a Dan Martell YouTube video to set big goals. I’ve decided to quit sugar for 10 years! What a crazy goal, but it’s totally working because I’m not counting down the days when I can have it again or wondering how long I can hold out for. Food tastes amazing now, lol. Never looking back!

I love plant-based foods – currently on a tofu kick – but I definitely eat meat regularly. I just love all food! Lol

I eat a mostly vegetarian diet, but still include eggs, dairy and occasionally some poultry.

  • Food Tip: Keep Trigger Foods Out Of Sight!

    Try keeping healthy foods right where you can see them, and stash unhealthy ones in a hard-to-reach cupboard, or just don't keep them around at all.
    I usually avoid having chips and ice cream around. Do you have any trigger foods?

To be able to walk without pain again.

Just had 3 ankle surgeries in 2024, so praying that Dec 31st was the last and I can finally truly move forward.

Only thing that will stick is doing something you love and I love to play hockey! Also getting into weight lifting now that I have a friend to workout with, we help push each other to crush our limits! It makes working like a game, something is always changing, never gets boring. :)
