I’m almost to my 1st weigh in goal. The beginning of the month I started off ok, then pretty much fell off and gained weight! ? But the past 2 weeks I’ve really been giving it my all with tracking my food intake and steps. 1 1/2 lbs away. Good luck everyone!

  • I have mobility problems. Most days, I cannot walk more than 1k steps daily. This week, I was able to complete a 3k step day. I said, "Since I can't walk for more than 3 minutes, why do it?" so I replaced my 5-minute sessions with 3-minute sessions and BOOM!!

    I pray it still works tomorrow.

One of my favorite healthy tricks is subbing plain Greek yogurt in place of mayonnaise and having tuna or chicken salad- super easy, lower calorie, and still really good when all seasoned up!

Hit me with some of your favorite tricks you've found for making things healthier/lower calorie but still delicious and satisfying? Bonus points if it's a dessert!

As a substitute when I want something crunchy & salty I make Kale chips.

Preheat oven to 300. Clean the kale and course chop it (about 6-8 cups). Put it in a bowl and mix in 2 tablespoons of olive oil with your hands. Put a sheet of parchment paper (original recipe said coat with coconut oil) on a baking sheet, and lay out the kale in a single layer.  It's okay if it's a fairly thick layer.  Sprinkle with salt . Bake for 15 minutes. Take out and gently turn over and cook for another 5-10 minutes.

My goal this week is to exercise six times in four days- two days of two, two days of one- and not weighing myself until the end of the week. It's mean to me, but I am currently so attached to my scale, it's a habit I'm trying to shake.

Remember that what matters is the trend over time! Each individual weigh in does not matter much, it’s just a data point in the graph you’re building that will show your progress. If the general trend is downward, that’s success!

I am really struggling with the process and the patience of losing weight. I want results *now* and am finding it difficult to stick to my plans when I am not seeing immediate results.
Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone have advice on how to stay focused and not get discouraged when you feel like you're doing good but the scale says you're not?
