I have been doing the 10 reps of something whenever I use the restroom as well. Last week it was squats, and this week I've switched to lunges. I can tell it's making a difference as I even thought about trying burpees sometime! It's also making a difference because it's a fairly regular reminder to keep my head in the game and remember what my goals are.

Oh, and as for the budget - maybe look into farmer's markets or local produce sharing groups that might be more cost-effective than grocery veggies? Frozen veggies are a great idea, and I love Trader Joe's for inexpensive frozen chicken (among other things).

If you can find more places to walk, you might also cut down on gas expenses for the car! ;)
