I've never tried any of those diets. I use Ideal Shakes generally once a day either as breakfast or after a workout. Ideal Shakes are from Ideal Shape. They're good but the only reason I use them is to make my breakfasts "cheaper" caloricaly. What I think you need to get on is My Fitness Pal or another app/website that tracks calories. I've used MFP to lose 23 pounds in 100 days. Tracking calories and preplanning my food day has made the difference.

You can do it, Katlin. Break the 10 pounds up into smaller stages so it isn't so overwhelming. Try some cardio when you have 5 minutes to spare (jumping jacks during commercials, for example) - make sure you keep doing all the healthy things that you already know to do. I've struggled with weight loss for years - eventually things will just click and it will become more clear. Good luck to you!

For every negative thing, say something positive. Running a 5K is a big deal!! You did it!! Way to go! And not binging, that is HUGE! Find some better snacks to have on hand when the urge hits (I have low carb ice cream bars), so when you do give in to the urge, and you will, so why fight it, you won't beat yourself up. We're a team, cause we are all in the same boat. GO TEAM!

Great post--and, yes, we do read it! Tough weekend ahead, but you can make it work. Take a thin slice of cake or just have a piece at one of the celebrations. We don't have to say yes every time. Do what works for you and you'll be just fine--and have FUN!
