Liseselot, first of all, I want to say "Congratulations" on winning your 1st challenge!!! WOOHOO!!! That's great!!! :-)

I'm sorry you're in a funk right now. The only thing you can do is take it one day at a time, but you have to start somewhere. What caused you to fall off track? Are you stressed about something? Whatever it is, if it's something that you can change, then work on doing so. If it's something out of your control, pray on it, give it to GOD, & move forward. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances can be the reason we lose track of what we're trying to do. It's time to take your life back!!! What do you really want to do??? Are you really ready to make a change in your life??? If so, then forgive yourself for the mistakes you've made, pick yourself up, re-focus on making healthier food choices, & get back into the game. YOU CAN DO THIS!!! The question isn't whether or not you can do it, it's are you ready to do it!!! Be like Nike, & JUST DO IT! I'm rooting for you! :-)

HapiCampr

She's still there, just taking a break. Ring her up, ask her to join you again and get on track. We are all here to support you!!

Nutrition. Cut calories. This can work, and does work. Why else to gimmicks like juice fasts work? it's calories.

* plan. Know the weight of what you put it. Goal is to have consistent sized meals.
* Package up a day. Only eat food on the plan.
* food scale. Weigh out portions,
* Get veggies, cut up. Stick in container. Fill up on them.
* Shrimp Cocktail. Low calorie treat.
* Soups, lower calorie. You will need to cut commercial ones with salt out a week before the end.
* Hate to say it, but protein shakes. Provides a sweet fix. Mocha Coffee fix.

* water. Keep the water consumption up. It fills you up.

If I hear you, your doc doesn't want you abusing your knee for 2 weeks. Do you have access to a swimming pool. The crawl stroke can be done without kicking. It is an incredibly good upper body workout. Aqua aerobics is a lower intensity water based workout which might not aggravate the knee, so you might want to try it. There are a number of upper body weight lifting type exercises which can be done with minimal or no impact on the lower body. Find a gym, find a trainer. Don't give up because you can't use your knees for a week or two.
Some motivation required :)

I have the same problem! Exercising isn't too much of a burden for me, because I enjoy it, but I also enjoy eating...pizza, cookies, ice cream. :) This is my second dietbet because knowing there's money on the line is pretty motivating most of the time!

I need to move beyond the fear of exercise. I guess it is that I am not motivated to do it but it is also the starting and stopping. If anyone can come up with a good motivation besides having T-Rex chasing us, I would love to hear it!
