Looks like I’m not going to hit my weight this time. This will be the first DietBet I’ve lost all year. I’m down 60lbs since January following the birth of my 3rd child. I’ve hit a plateau over the last month and my weight hasn’t really budged. I’m still so proud of myself and my progress through the past 10 months though. Not going to let this get me down, I’m planning to keep pushing though. Congratulations to all hitting their weight, awesome job guys!

60 pounds is amazing, Lindsey! You'll get through your plateau when your body is ready :)

  • It’s Monday of our final week!! I hope you all had a great weekend and are feeling refreshed and ready to finish strong!

As we head into these last few days, be kind to yourself and be proud of your decision to make your health a priority.

A few tips for these final days:
    -No drastic changes
    -Keep moving
    -Drink your water
    -Get enough sleep
    -Limit salt
    -Find your joy

Whether you're crushing your goal or struggling a bit, please keep in mind that PROGRESS is the real win. Any changes you can say you've noticed since the game started - that's what you should focus on. What have you learned about yourself? What little victories have you accomplished? It's not all about the scale (yes, the game is determined by the little numbers by your feet, but they don't determine your worth, your happiness, or what you're capable of).

Dig deep and don’t give up this week! Make it your final push, but also look at how far you've come!

My resolution for the upcoming month, which starts this week, is to add at least one HIIT training a week to my schedule. I've been hitting the 7.000-10.000 steps a day so it's time to add an extra thing. And one seems doable despite having a very busy work November :see_no_evil:

Referee Grace

That's awesome, Jennifer! I'm so glad you enjoyed your first game!! :) And you are doing great, Paulien! You got this!

  • Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend?

Weekends are a great time to add in healthy activities that you may not have time for during the week. Whatever your weekend looks like, make it a great one and plan ahead so you'll stay on track.

Some ideas to nourish you - mind, body, and soul:

    -Go apple picking
    -Carve a pumpkin
    -Watch a scary movie!
-If you’re dressing up for Halloween, work on your costume
-Try a new Autumn recipe (pumpkin bars, fall harvest salad, get creative!)
    -Spend some time crafting
-Go for a hike to enjoy the changing leaves
-Journal (if you're not sure what to write, use gratitude as your inspiration)
    -Read a book
    -Learn something new

And always remember to drink your water!

I've always wanted to start journaling, but I find it hard to keep going :see_no_evil:

Referee Grace

I'm the same way, Paulien! I might try to give it another shot. I think it's best to start small and try to stay consistent. Even if you only write a sentence or two some days :)

  • Happy Friday! How is everyone’s first week going? Any triumphs to share? Anything you’re struggling with? Share with us! We’re all here to help each other :)

The weekend is almost here! For some of us, weekends are easier, for others they're more of a challenge.

If you struggle to stay on track over the weekend, then it's time to plan ahead. It's all about being prepared and making wise choices. Don't feel deprived, feel empowered!

    Tips for a Healthy Weekend:
-Plan ahead - So important to be prepared for whatever comes your way!
-Drink your water - Hydration can ease hunger and help you feel satiated
-Keep moving - It feels great and burns calories!
-Moderation - Don't over do the food and drinks
-Relax - Stress can lead to overeating. Take some time for yourself!
-Sleep - We need our sleep and it aids our weight loss efforts!
    -Have fun!

It's also a great time to do some meal planning and prep for the week. Head to the grocery store and stock up on healthy options to have on hand.

Have fun and make choices that will make you happy when you step on the scale on Monday! You've got this!

I have a cocktail party next Saturday and am a bit worried about that  I try to keep in mind that one day can't ruin the progress of all the other days around it, but yet....

Hi everyone. Turning 40 just before Christmas and having a good feeling about this "becoming the healthiest version of myself" for once so figured I'd give this a try again :)

  • It’s Workout Wednesday!

Exercise is an important aspect of staying healthy! The saying "use it or lose it" is very true and every little bit counts! Go for a walk after dinner, take the stairs instead of the elevator, try a new workout class in your neighborhood or find a free workout video online!

What are you up to today? Can you do anything different to add extra activity to your day?

    Perks of regular exercise include:

    - Controls Weight
    - Helps improve or avoid health conditions and diseases
    - Improves mood
    - Promotes better sleep
    - Improves energy

    Let's get moving!

Members, don't forget to submit your Progress weigh-in for extra accountability and to be entered into the weekly prize drawing!

I've been "taking an album for a walk" after dinner and liking it immensely. Makes me pay more attention to the music, discovering new things and seeing some lovely things in the area around my home. Plus, I'm getting my steps in!

Referee Grace

Ooh, I love this idea! Thank you for sharing! :)
