I took an overnight trip out of town, and food was a challenge (a vegetarian with bad food habits and without a plan = junk food and giant portions). I think to get my head back on straight for my second week, I'm going to work on my daily goals:

*Track food (by the end of each day)
*Move every day for 30-60 minutes
*Drink water - 3 of my big bottles daily
*WFPB (mindful of/skip added sugar and processed food)

Any other categories that help you? Any tips for vacation?

Moving forward!!

For me, I have to meal prep Sunday. It’s the only way to keep myself on track and prepare food for the family. Today I made, tacos (with lots of bell peppers per daughter’s request), no breaded chicken parmesan, broccoli/cheese rice with added broccoli and pork chops.

For vacation, I try to do the 80/20 or even 70/30. I understand I’m on vacation and going to want to indulge, but try to pick one place or one meal a day for that.

It is harder with travel. Planning does make it easier, but always have a plan B incase it doesn't pan out. If you have to eat out, then choose meals that have more vegetables because that will at least reduce the calories.

  • Bike ride number two. Couldn't get out of my clips and fell...again. I love when I am pedaling but getting going and stopping is proving to be hard. :/ But as the saying goes, every time you fall to gotta get back on again. This won't be my last ride (or last fall...) but will keep going.

Ah, injuries are part of any weight loss journey. It's a badge of honor.

Bike accidents can be very serious. Lost an acquaintance friend last week after complications from a bike wreck. Continued falls could be irreversibly harmful to you. Maybe evaluate ways that you could decrease your risk — and still enjoy this /other healthy activities. Take care of you. : )
