There will always be those people who are jealous of your efforts and your progress. All you can do is ignore the negativity... or use it as fuel to keep going and push even harder. Let them be haters.... I'll continue being a lover as long as I live. <3 Prop to you girl!

Oh yes that does sound very stressful! And 3 bites isn't THAT bad for you. Maybe after it didn't end up tasking so good this time, you won't feel so motivated to reach for one next time. And just in case, maybe there is some healthy alternative (it doesn't have to be a food! It could be a short power walk, or looking at beach pictures, or some yoga poses, or just plain relaxation breathing) for when you are feeling stressed.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to take a look at your own habits, as you have done now! Great insight!
Different Eating

I can totally relate to this! I also eat all day with a slightly larger meal for dinner. My husband snacks during the day, refuses my offers of breakfast/lunch, then is starving by dinner, so he binge eats everything in sight. He's been consistent with his exercise, so his body shape has changed a little, but he's NOT losing weight. I've tried to talk to him about portion control and timing his meals so he's not starving, but he doesn't want to listen to me. His excuse is that he's just different and that's the way he eats. I just cook dinners that will fit into my needs and I plate each of our meals (this has helped him to not eat quite so much), pack some for my lunch the next day, then leave the rest for him to finish off as seconds or a late night snack. He knows that I've measured out my meal to whatever is on my plate, so I won't eat anything else. I think I'd be less concerned about him if he was actually losing weight, but as it is, I'm hoping he'll come around eventually.

Ditto! When my 6' tall boyfriend moved in with me we always ate the same thing -- and he lost about 30lbs and I *gained* almost 20!! I knew it had to stop. I love him and I love spending time with him, but we cannot go taco-for-taco and beer-for-beer, even if it seems "equal." He knows now to make my portions smaller and to order himself another drink at the bar if I'm sipping slowly. It was an adjustment, but we're both getting the hang of it!

That's awesome!! In my office, I've gotten two coworkers to do a short yoga DVD with me during lunch break. Then instead of the heavy pasta, pizza, or fried food, we've had two office lunches that were very healthy and full of veggies!

Can I offer suggestion? At work if you need extra help with extra stuff and you don't feel like anyone can do it as well as you, perhaps try a method of encouragement and job well done! Mary Kay Ash was a great motivator and business woman. She took women that thought they'd be stuck in a place of just okay forever to OVER THE TOP SALES WOMEN! Maybe read about how she loved on people to help them perform and achieve more!

Sending happy thoughts your way. Like Cynthia said - it truly is wonderful that you had a mother that meant so much to you! Remember that she is watching over you and sending loads of love spiritually even if she can't do it in person anymore. Be strong!

Thank you for sharing your story. You are here now and committed to your health. It takes a long time to learn new habits which is what I think most of us need in order to not do the yo-yo thing anymore. A couple of things jumped out at me while reading your blog, you are a determined person, you have proven to yourself you can lose the weight, you are here and ready to try again. I wish you a TON of success, remember this is for life, don't expect super fast results, consistency is the key. I kept being upset about how slow this weight thing was going,
