Sign in to CommentI assume you went to your doctor and your thyroid function, LH and blood sugars were normal. Tha'ts great news that means there is nothing wrong with you that you cant fix. The first thing you have to do is try to stop stressing out over your weight. Your body has a very interesting hormone in it call "cortisol". Cortisol is also known as the "stress hormone". The interesting thing about cortisol is that in low amounts it helps burn fat but in high amounts it actually prevents fat from being burned. So try not to stress out and don't lose faith. Our bodies were designed to go through long periods without food. They are fantastic at holding onto fat stores as long as possible. You just need to keep eating quality foods and doing as much activity as you can.

Have you been to a doctor? That would be my first stop. I'd also do some serious food tracking. If you're really burning 1,000-1,500 calories/day in exercise, then I would think that you're probably overeating, even on healthy stuff.
Good luck!

thank you all for the great advise! there's some great motivation here I do use my fitness pal. i try and get the full amount of sleep. I'm just going to keep trying. I bought a weighted jump rope today, add something new to routine. next i plan on a kettle ball.....i'm just going to keep adding different types of activity and keep eating healthy and i'm sure eventually something will give......i do truly believe the reason weight watchers doesn't work for "ME" is bc it still allows processed and unhealthy foods. even though someone might be eating less of them- they are just not good for the human body. God didn't intend for us to eat chemicals......i'm working on eating a mostly clean diet (cheese, and ice cream of course needs to stay(just less of it))

Good for you for posting your struggles here. It sounds really scary and frustrating. Gaining that much in such a short time while taking care of yourself doesn't sound right. The earlier replies are good suggestions. I would definitely continue the carb cycling and water drinking. If you still don't lose, go back to your dr--or pick another dr. Show him or her your food journal and ask for more/different tests. Your body is trying to tell you something--you need to find someone who will listen to you and it. HUGS!!!
What you are going through sounds frustrating. For myself, I have found that if I don't log every calorie I consume, I mindlessly eat calories that I think "don't count". But they all do! Unless you have a health problem that your doctors have been unable to diagnose, weight loss is mostly about how much and what we eat. Try a free calorie counter website like MyFitnessPal, they also have smart phone aps, and log everything for a week, or a month and see if that helps. I feel your frustration, sister, and I pray that you will discover the formula that works to reaching a healthy weight!
I've been there Diana! I'm actually breaking from that place now. sometimes you have to shock your body out of that rut of gaining. Do something that you aren't used to because our bodies can get used to the same routine. Some days I try fasting with liquids only for 12 hours at least once a week. I also had to cut out meat from most of my meals. I've done smoothie cleanses as well and I lost 14 pounds in 10 days. it's all about planning and staying consistent. It's ALL MIND OVER matter. Also, Direct your language to more affirmations and say "No matter what I lose weight and my body is a healthy temple that is obeying my command to stay fit".. I firmly believe in the power of our words. I understand your title for your blog..this is just an affirmation..Lastly take your workout to the next level. I mean become vicious in your routines, take charge and make it happen! I call it kick your own a&@ in the gym.My motto is if it ain't hurtin, it ain't workin. I hope this helps Cheers!
