How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

How do you personally stay motivated to lose weight when there's a big "blocker" in front of you? For example I haven't been able to work out for a year because of an injury and before that I would walk or run 5 miles a day.

I can relate. I was in a car accident a few years ago - after 6 surgeries on foot/heel I still can’t walk very far or stand for very long. I’m trying to find more exercises that I can do without putting weight on the joint. I bought a spin bike.

If your injury is going to prevent you from long walks or runs, find other ways to burn some calories. I’ve been telling myself to start working out with weights/strength training but haven’t started yet. Plenty of options out there!

While exercise is important and beneficial for many things, the key to weight loss is how and what you eat. Focus on what you can do vs what you can’t. Wish you all the best. Chair exercises are good!
