Fav healthy meals- grilled chicken or tuna salad for lunch everyday and then for dinner I alternate every few days is grilled chicken/shrimp/salmon with spinach/asparagus/broccoli and cauliflower rice /yams / mash

I’d spend it on wrist weights for when I do yoga.

Two days of workouts so far and I'm feeling it. It's been way too long since I've had a regular workout routine. I'm taking it slow and modifying as needed. I know that the longer I stick to it, the more stamina and strength I'll gain.

Same! I'm taken aback a bit by how sore my body is after not doing very much. :grimacing: slow and consistent.... we can do it!

  • *I need ideas*

The last time I had success at weight loss (before my children 4 years ago) I found the best route to take for me was to work out early in the AM (like 5AM). I want to start doing it again, but I have a dilemma. My son's bedroom (he's 4) is directly under my only workout space and I'm too afraid to wake him up with my movement (jumping, high knees, even picking up and putting down my weights).

Do you all have any ideas of something that isn't too expensive that I can put down on the floor to muffle the sound of my workouts? I have a thick yoga mat but I feel like I need more.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Picture of my Yoga Mat so I don't get lost!

Thanks Jen! I have some of those! I'll test them out. I'm not worried about it looking tacky because it will be put away after my workout every day. Thanks again!

We use the foam flooring. It does help!

Boredom eating is so real. Keeping myself busy today and as soon as errands are done I’m gonna get a workout in. Do you guys prefer working out first thing in the morning to get it finished or after work??

I like after work but it’s so dark and cold here by 5pm that I’m going to have to do garage workouts.

I prefer first thing in the morning. Not as many ppl in the gym. I get it out of the way in case something else comes up and it doesn’t conflict with my family’s schedules

You've helped me before Lexi, but I gained almost all of my 40 lbs back over the last 2 years. Time to get healthy again. 2025 is my year!
