I have been craving ice cream like crazy. And I’m not usually one to deprive myself of a craving because I do believe it makes it worse. BUT there are some things that cause a binge flair up and that I absolutely cannot eat in moderations; donuts, chips, soda (I cut soda 7 years ago because of this), and ice cream. I did grocery shopping today but I couldn’t find a small or normal size ice cream. And I cannot have leftovers in my house because I’ll eat it every single day. I don’t know, maybe I’ll go grab a DQ cone.

Try Halo Top ice cream. There are some protein ice creams that are pretty good. Chilly cow was my favorite, but I don't think they make it any more.

@Becky!! This did it for me! Omg besides the fact that I already love cool whip and fruit, freezing it gave it an almost ice cream consistency. So good!

  • I'm super pumped about my progress! However there is some hesitation as for the last week of this challenge I will be on vacation and I'm worried my progress will take a turn. I'm staying optimistic though! I starting my health journey December 16th at 275lbs, I'm now at 264lbs. I was at 269lbs at the start of the dietbet. I can see and feel a difference, I just wanna make sure I don't let myself down ?? thankfully the vacation is full of activite excursions so hopefully that helps!

Wow! Congratulations. You're killing it! Enjoy your vacation. My best advice is to just listen to your hunger cues and eat when you're hungry. It is easy for food to be all over the place when you're on vaca, but you've got this!

This week has been tough for me to stay motivated. I've just been so tired, so I haven't been doing my workouts. Due to some meds, I can't wake up earlier to do my workouts, so I've been trying to get them done after work, but the fatigue and a pulled muscle have been enough to make excuses to not get moving. I think the program I was trying is just too much, so I'm going to try a different exercise program and see if that helps me stick with it. I'm also thinking about seeing if I can change my work schedule, go in later and then get home later. Maybe if I can wake up and get my workout done, I'll actually do it.

I've only worked out once so far this year because of illness (from my children, my husband, myself). I'm behind too but I've really been focused on my eating and I'm doing well so far!

  • First workout of 2025.

    Just a cardio dance workout because after a week of illness I wanted to do something fun and light.
    Going to start lifting again on Monday but for now I'm just going to do cardio dance to get back into the routine.

  • Today is my 31st birthday…. I moved to a new state a few months ago for a job and I still don’t really have any friends here, so I took myself out for a birthday dinner. I’ll be honest, I have been super discouraged all day because no one really remembered my birthday, and so I ate my emotions at dinner. Here’s to a fresh start tomorrow…

I have to lose 13.4 pounds in 28 days. I was a little nervous about being able to meet that goal. I still am, but I am already down 7.4 pounds! Only 6 to go and I still have three weeks!!!

I LOVE tamales! I made some tamales for Christmas, and I’ve always heard they’re super hard… they aren’t, and I’m convinced I can make a healthy version.

Enjoy your tamales and never feel guilty or feel defeated! It’s just one meal, and anyway… are you going to live your whole life without a tamale? If not, find a way to incorporate them into a long term, healthy lifestyle.
