  • I had a rather ugly setback. I run every morning, the means by which I can drop those pounds off. Friday I hit a curb wrong and broke my 5th metatarsal (foot). Bummer!

Hey everyone! I need some advice from all the ladies (sorry guys😅). How do you guys stay motivated and on track during your period? I have always struggled with severe cravings and I really want to break that habit, but I think I am so used to overindulging that I honestly don't know what my body is asking for. Any advice would be much appreciated!😁

I put cups of frozen mixed berries (3-4cups), optional 2 bananas (I mix it up by sometimes adding them other not, also mix up the type of frozen fruit we), coconut milk, water in the blender, enough that it can puree the berries, then put them in 3 cool whip sized bowls and freeze.
Microwave 1min - 1min 30sec.
Break apart with spoon...will look like a slushy.
Cut up a banana put it on top
add pecan (chopped or chipped)
add almond butter
add seeds I buy the Badia Trilogy Health Seed (Amazon or Walmart are the only places I've found them) *flax, chia, and hemp

Sounds like a lot but it's okay. You won't always finish it. Some days you'll eat half and put the rest in the freezer (thaw on counter for an hour and good to go). Other days your eat all of it. The need to binge will be gone. Mainly because it's cold and kind of like a sorbet, but also because ther are nuts and it you eat it not swallow because of the ice chips (slushy style of it) that you get full but you can't eat it fast so you body and mind have time to know I'm full and need to stop.

The 2cd is to keep you plate balanced and eat all your meals timely even if your not hungry.
Vegetable, fruit (pr half a serving), protein, healthy fat (olive oil, nuts, avacado)
With Whole30 in September last year this was what helped me get though it and when it that week and I want to eat everything I've gone back to these and it really helps. (I do add potatoes (russet and sweet), squashes, to my lighter plates so that I'm not craving breads, rice, or pastas.

I am sick for the third day in a row with cold symptoms and my weight on the scale has risen. Could it be the high-sodium soups I’ve been eating in the evening? Could it be the sodium in the Robitussin I’ve been taking at night? Could it be that I’m consuming more calories because of my diminished capacity to count my calories and my uptick in drinking milk and juice? I feel so frustrated that my body is telling me to lie down when I want to move to burn calories. How do you guys keep on track when you’re sick?

Tall ask so bare with me but I’m looking for a workout PROGRAM that I can do at home, 30mins or less, minimal to no equipment. I know I can YouTube workouts but I don’t want to have to find something everyday. I want a program I can turn on and follow everyday.

NSVs are in my opinion are better than a # on the scale. If you’re getting hung up on the #, don’t. While it technically matters for this game, it doesn’t necessarily matter for the long haul. What matters is how you FEEL, the physical changes you SEE, the mental hurdles you’re overcoming. Look for those NSV and celebrate them! WE are doing amazing! Let’s keep going!!

Non scale victories!

I LOVE non-scale victories for their ability to 1) Reinforce that weight is a number, and that's it. It may be a tool that we use, but it doesn't address quality of life, muscle, mental toughness, a surgery you had recently that changed your body, etc., 2) How amazing are all of the other victories like feeling confident again in a favorite piece of clothing or improved sleep quality? These are the best parts!

Hey all. Feeling frustrated. Tried the not tracking and have not lost anything. I am tracking for the rest of the game to make sure I hit my goal and then getting in contact with a nutritionist after the game. I’ve been overweight all my life and I’m wondering if it’s just one of those things that I have to do for my body. Hopefully by next week I’ll be able to give you guys a good update!

Tracking is key for me. I use the free version of My Fitness Pal and have stayed close to my allotted calorie goal each day and I also aim to get at least 100 g of protein per day. I’ve lost 4 lbs and am happy with slow weight loss.

  • I'm super pumped about my progress! However there is some hesitation as for the last week of this challenge I will be on vacation and I'm worried my progress will take a turn. I'm staying optimistic though! I starting my health journey December 16th at 275lbs, I'm now at 264lbs. I was at 269lbs at the start of the dietbet. I can see and feel a difference, I just wanna make sure I don't let myself down ?? thankfully the vacation is full of activite excursions so hopefully that helps!

Wow! Congratulations. You're killing it! Enjoy your vacation. My best advice is to just listen to your hunger cues and eat when you're hungry. It is easy for food to be all over the place when you're on vaca, but you've got this!
