How often are you all weighing yourselves? I find I’m more focussed the more regularly I step on the scales so I’m doing it every other day at the moment. I find once a week too big a gap!

Didn't make my weigh in this round. But I'm not giving up! I know if I keep going, I can make round 3 and beyond.

I’m the same, didn’t make this round but keeping going to see if I can catch up - either way I will still be healthier than before!

Sarah S.

Yes you can!! :muscle:

Made it! Weight maintained for the last week and a half, including a week vacation! On to round 3!

If you don't make this one, remember that round 3 has a goal that is less pounds than rounds 1&2. You can catch up! Round 2 is the hardest in my opinion!

I agree! I’ve done a few Dietbets and round 2 is always the hardest. 2 rounds in a row of more total consecutive weight loss than the other rounds. Now I just need to keep from regressing. We can do this! For me, it’s about staying focused and disciplined one day at a time and finding ways to do it in a way I can maintain throughout my life. Failing some, but getting up and trying again the next day (or the same day).

Anna V.

It’s definitely the hardest round and I’ve totally fallen off the wagon so am way off my goal. Back to being focussed to try and catch up!

Round 1 success!! Gotta keep it going for round 2. I've managed to wean myself off of pop, which is a huge bonus for me (pre game, probably 400 calories daily). Minding food portions and minimizing calorie heavy beverages is what works for me!

Hope to hear all your success stories for round 1 as everyone weighs in!

I wish I drank tons of pop so that I could quit and it would make a huge difference…

I joined late and only just made this goal. I think the next month will be harder because of social plans but I’m going to try to choose fruit as a snack rather than a sugary treat, that is my main vice and while I’ve cut them back a lot in the last month I can still do better.

Hello.
I have reached Goal one😃. It will be exciting to see if we reach our goals.
Im now a kind of person that can not have anything like icecream, candy or chips in the house, without eating it all. My Goal is to Get control of that. Like I can handle that

I also have that problem, it would be nice to be able to trust myself to have them in moderation!

Mia J.

That is a skill for you sure

Hi Everyone! Getting in a bit late but hoping I can make my goal this month. I have several years of dietbets some good mostly not. This time I want to stay engaged and committed and make all my goals!

Any tips for turning around a long gaining streak? My last successful weight loss attempt was about 20 lbs in 2021 which I maintained for a year or so and then slowly crept back up to my high weight last year. The challenge is mental and emotional but also physical I believe. Giving in to cravings and then needing to eat more to feel satisfied because foods you crave are never very nutritious for your body. So you eat more. My best success has always been sticking to whole food and mostly plant based.

Exactly Sarah! I always burn out at some point and then there are boxes piled up in every corner and the dining room table is unusable for weeks! Good luck on couch to 5K! I've tried that in the past and it was too much for me. I am focusing on walking and weight training right now but as soon as I feel a bit stronger I'm going to start running too! It's always been my favorite thing to do.

Good luck Anna! I think that's exactly right! No more all or nothing mentality!
