I’m feeling good going into the weekend and I hope everyone else has had a great week. I’m really close to my month-one goal, which is inspiring me to stay on track over the weekend. I am so happy that I started this challenge when I did. I’m really excited to keep up the slow and steady progress towards my 6-month goal!

I'm more exhausted than anything. Enjoyed the holiday entertaining! No need for guilt! (This is new) But I'm just so tired it's hard to get going this week. I've run out of steam for all things. Trying to find a nap in the next day or two so I can rally.

I went out both Friday and Sunday. I enjoyed a small snack Sunday that I split with my partner. Usually I would have had my own, so I think that’s a win

I'm hosting 2 holiday parties at my house this weekend. I have a weakness for appetizers! Probably doesn't help that I tend to make apps I really love (looking at you crab dip). I'm really good at making a plan in advance (only one serving of this or a glass of water in between drinks) but terrible at the execution. Anyone else struggle with this but found good tips and tricks?

Went alright! Better than it has in the past. I indulged for sure, but less than I could. I'll take that win. I'm happy with how it went. No guilt which is a huge improvement. And I'm right back to my better habits this week!

Hi everyone! Hope the first week has been good.

I've been keeping a food diary, tracking everything I eat as well as tracking all exercise. Weighing myself every morning is helpful for me because it shows tiny progress which helps motivate me more.

I've also cut out sodas completely and am slamming the water. Finally, when possible, hitting the sheets even just 20-30 earlier helps keep snacking urges down.

Hi! Sounds like you have good strategies! I am also trying to keep the longer picture in mind and trying not to get demoralised by those not-so on track days :)

I made it through my week of in person work meetings which are always filled with food, candy, lots of snacks and a big open bar dinner. While I wasn't perfect and definitely indulged I did make some better choices, ate less than I usually do at these things, and did my best to move as much as could. I haven't stepped on a scale yet, but going into the weekend with these small wins. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good for you. The thing I like about this being a 6-month challenge is that we have the space to recognize that we can’t be “perfect” every day, and there is room in life for some indulgences if we generally hold ourselves accountable! Have a great weekend.

I just did my weigh in and it’s the wake up call I needed. I had a very successful 6 month challenge 4 years ago. Slowly I let most of the weight - not all but most - creep back on but I still consider that a victory. I know I’ve been off track for over a year but in denial. Time to get back at it and I know it’s possible because I’ve done it! And you can too! Go get this!

Hi there. I'm back at it. After winning several diet bets, I fell off the wagon. BIG TIME. We got a new puppy who completely turned our lives upside down. My son had some health issues for a few years - he's better now. I started a new job which, while I love it, was VERY stressful. Add in regular life things and my balance and routine just went out the window.

In it's place: poor food choices, much more sitting at a desk and yummy cocktails after work.

Time to get back to this hard. I'm going to lean on you all as a helping community, if that's alright. My wife is also on board. I've done this before and damnit, I'm gonna do it again!

Same boat! Had great success before. I KNOW I can do it I just haven’t been able to commit. I literally just had DietBet pop into my head, I haven’t thought of it in a couple of years, and I decided it was a sign! I need the accountability and I’m really glad I’m starting well before Christmas. Let’s do this!
