Hi, I'm Lindsay, from Chicago. I was motivated to join the group because I've been in a pretty good mindset lately and wanted to give myself some extra accountability to keep it up during the holidays. My non-scale goal is to get more sleep - I'm a single mom with almost full custody of 3 school age kids and a full time job, so I get so little time to myself that it's hard to make myself go to bed during that brief period of time when the kids are all asleep and I have a little bit of time to myself.

Hi! I'm from Long Island NY. I am doing this diet bet because I've put on some weight that needs to go! And a NSV I'm working on is feeling better in my clothes.

I finally got a chance to start watching Fridays call last night (havenā€™t finished it yet) and she says you have to learn to like salad. I like salad but there are other foods that I know are good for me but I donā€™t like. The two big ones are salmon and tuna. No matter what Iā€™ve done I canā€™t make myself eat them. How do you make yourself like something that you donā€™t like?

Honestly I donā€™t eat canned tuna either. Iā€™ve tried it so many ways and it still grosses me out, dunno why. You donā€™t have to eat what you genuinely donā€™t enjoy. If you donā€™t like salmon or tuna, eat chicken, turkey, or cod insteadā€¦ there are plenty of other lean proteins. I think itā€™s more of an issue when people make blanket statements like ā€œI donā€™t like vegetables.ā€ Thereā€™s so many different kinds of vegetables, prepared endless waysā€¦ I donā€™t like okra so I donā€™t eat it but I eat plenty of other veggies. When you force yourself to eat something you hate, you associate healthy eating with eating things you hate. Find healthy things you love.

Yeah if those are the only 2 things you really don't like I wouldn't force, there are plenty of alternatives
