Hi everyone,

So I’ve only just completed Lexi’s last DietBet and wasn’t sure if I’d be able to lose another 4% in 4 weeks, so wasn’t going to join.

However, after a week of letting my food intake slide into a place I don’t want again, I’ve decided to join up to help keep me accountable. I hate losing money!

Look forward to reading everyone’s tips over the next 4 weeks and sharing progress with you all.

I hear ya! I did one over the summer and was successful, but now it’s been almost 2 months and I gained it all back. Ugh. But we’re here and showing up!! The accountability helps so much

My friend also does a cold plunge every morning before her day starts. She has gotten to 8 mins. She said that it Jumpstart her metabolism.

I could really do with some advice as I’m feeling so deflated and upset with my progress. I’m not going to make this challenge and at this rate it’ll take me 10 years to reach my goal weight.

I’m a big girl so feel like the weight should be coming off fairly quickly but it’s just not budging.

I follow a paleo lifestyle so only eat meat, fish, some vegetables, small amount of fruit, nuts and seeds and healthy fats.

I also track absolutely everything to stay in a 1000 calorie deficit every day. Some days it’s significantly more of a deficit.

Why is the weight not coming off?

I dont know your situation and dont need to but maybe check hormones? Life changing for me. Also maybe more healthy carbs every once in awhile will help your body to let go more. If I do the same thing all the time, I sometimes plateau.

For me it was key to understand insulin. In a nutshell here is what O learned that helped me. Insulin makes you hold onto weight and store energy. The advice I was given for decades made me pack on pounds by keeping my body releasing insulin every time I ate a “healthy snack.” My switching to a higher fat, leafy green, protein rich eating plan and eating 3 meals a day with no snacks and lots of water and some black coffee or tea, I’ve dropped about 90 lbs and have regained my health. I eat more now than I did before but keeping those basic ideas has helped a ton!!!

So if you go from a size 24 to a 22 or a 16 to a 14 or a 10 to an 8, is that one size, or two? I have always wondered.

I think the juniors department runs on odd numbers of sizes and runs a bit smaller but the women’s or missus department runs on even numbers if that makes sense

  • Dinner tonight: grilled salmon, airfryer sweet potato with cinnamon, + steamed broccoli - yum! I've used an airfryer since I started my journey & it's always been my favorite appliance! As someone who used to eat a ton of fried food, I've found that the way we prepare our foods can make such a difference with calories/taste. What'd you have?

Struggling with bad toothache so I had a homemade chilli cooked low and slow so it was really tender and didn’t need much chewing. Super tasty and healthy
