3rd consecutive day of tracking food and staying within my goal calorie range! That's a win for me - my biggest challenge is consistency! I've been finding that lighter dinners (really just having more of a snack) works well for me; breakfast and coffee in the morning are non-negotiable! 😄

  • We RARELY have beef, let alone a good steak, but I saw a great weight loss this weekend after a big salad + steak at my SIL's house, so I'm giving it a go here at home tonight.

Such a filling dinner - lots of greens, whole shredded carrots, red onion, homemade herb ranch, TB of blue cheese and 4ish oz steak.

Looks delicious delicious! Can you share the dressing recipe ?

Lydia L.

Yes!! Steak and blue cheese are one of my all time favorite combos. Great job incorporating them into a healthy, protein-rich salad.

Going to the store today and meal prepping. Need some super easy ideas that aren't my same go to meals. Share your faves please to give me some inspiration. Super easy or make ahead for breakfast for sure as I'm usually rushed in the am.

For easy quick breakfasts: if you are looking for something sweet I would do a make ahead chia pudding with fruit (I love mango!), almond milk, oats or greek yogurt, and protein powder (optional). Another sweet option is overnight oats with fruit and optionally a flavored protein powder. There are an infinite number of ways to mix this up! For savory breakfasts, I love spinach, ham, cheese, and egg white bowls. Easy to microwave and with some added seasonings you won't mind the egg whites' blandness. My favorite grab and go savory breakfast is low carb breakfast wraps. Ham or bacon, eggs or egg whites, small amount cheese, and veggie of choice. Rolled up in a low carb wrap.

Thanks for the suggestions! I made some homemade just crack an eggs for me and my son. Also made an apple pie topping for yogurt. Those should last for a few days at least
