I think there was an error in the prize payout amount. 75% of ppl won leaving $770 to split. Did Jenn / dietbet keep the entire amount? This is shady and bad business.

Dietbets are really for the accountability for yourself and the encouragement from others in the game. It's all about you losing weight and getting healthy for yourself. It's not intended for a person to make money off of.

Here’s how the numbers worked out for this game:

The total pot was $3,080

DietBet takes 25%, which came to $770

That left $2,310 to split between the 66 winners

2310 ÷ 66 = $35.00 per winner

That’s actually a really high win rate for a game, awesome job to everyone who hit their goal! Since so many people won, there wasn’t anything extra to split this time. I know it can feel a little frustrating, especially with DietBet’s cut, but they do provide the platform that keeps it all running. Just wanted to explain how it all adds up.

  • On a work trip so working out and eating healthy is hard but I packed apples, protien bars, carrot sticks, yogurt, and Trail mix to not eat out for every meal! And if I don't workout I at least can take long walks on the beach h 😁

That was me a couple of weeks ago. I packed sandwich baggies with 2 cuties, babybel cheese and 100 cal almonds... that was breakfast each day. I also packed my own salad dressing in condiment cups for restaurant salads which helped keep calories in check. Good luck!

  • Welcome everyone, I'm so happy you're here! My name is Jenn, I'll be your host!

    I like to do weekly challenges as part of our game, it helps to keep the game more interactive and motivating. (Optional of course)

    The first challenge is: The Water Challenge!

    Here is the challenge if you want to participate:
    Drink at least 64 oz. of water a day, 5 days this week. That's any 5 days between the start of the game until Saturday evening.

    Starting on Friday there will be a post here, at the top of the game feed, for you to comment under if you completed the challenge. The deadline to report in is Saturday 9:00 PM Pacific Time. The prize drawing will be held on Saturday shortly after that, for the $10 cash prize. Each week the prize amount goes up!

    And one suggestion, but not part of the challenge, please introduce yourself and share your goals! Let us know where you are on your weight loss/fitness journey, and what your short/long term goals are! Just for fun let us know where you are from. I live in Utah.
