Hey everyone! I just joined. I haven't done a diet bet in a while. I decided to do this because 1. It's already started, 2. I've been following Lexi's journey for a while and she's inspired me, and 3...... I'm going on a cruise the 24-28th and I'm hoping THIS will help me hold myself accountable so I don't overeat and continue my own journey.
I lost 101 lbs about 15 years ago. I've the years I gained what I lost plus a lot. I reached my all time high in July 2024 and decided that was enough. I "tried" for about 6 months and then finally after making tiny progress, I hired a trainer and nutritionist. And with her help, I've been making great progress. I don't want to lose it now and this cruise could do it. So I'm being proactive and putting some money on the line.

Whether I win or not, my goal is to not gain during the cruise.

  • I started on the 8th and I'm down by a lot. I'm sure it has something to do with me choosing low carb and staying away from ultra processed foods, starches, and all sugar.

    I'm 75% into this DietBet's weight loss goal. Hopefully, the rate of weight loss will slow down in the 2nd week.

    The thing is I'm not even hungry or craving anything and I feel pretty energetic.

My weight is an absolute yoyo, and I know it's my doing. Every time I lose a little, I regain a lot. Literally weighed in today, then ate a bunch of carbs, chocolates and the like, so I've already gained

So you know what to do and what to avoid. Sugar and ultra processed carbs trigger you so stay away from them. Stick with whole foods. Stock up on foods that are healthy, but also that you like. Create healthy meals that are healthy, easy, and fast to whip up.

  • I made low carb protein bites today, in blueberry cheesecake and double fudge brownie. Usually I'll have my breakfast around 11 or noon and my lunch around 4 or 5. I'll get a little hungry around 8 or 9, but I don't want a meal so I thought these would do the trick.
