I am staying consistent in exercise and healthy eating but I am not dropping. I know my body does this where I drop a lot and then don't for several weeks. Fingers crossed I drop soon. I did buy a few smaller tops to be my goal to fit into 😁. We got this!!!

Hi all!

This is probably my…let’s see…fourth or fifth dietbet in the last year. I join one every few months and usually make goal. But then I’m back again in 3-4 months with the **same weight to lose.**

I’m grateful for the platform because it always gives me the kick I need to re-lose the pounds, but anyone have some tips for **keeping it off** once the bet ends?

Otherwise, I’ll just be back here again in four months. 😅

Thanks CrunchyFrog! That’s super helpful. To be clear, I keep gaining and losing right at my goal weight, essentially, so I really don’t want to join another lose 4%. But didn’t know that member games are a slower pace or that there are maintenance games. I’ll look into it!

  • Back in my kitchen tonight and back to basics! Tonight we had garlic herb baked pork chops (we usually do grilled & debated trying them in the airfryer) but they didnt disappoint! We've been using Kinder seasonings lately and really enjoy them! I also had steamed green beans and a small Greek too good brand zero sugar yogurt for dessert! What did you have?

We had air fried pork chops and zucchini/yellow squash/onion/cheese. Leftovers for lunch today. Dessert was few bites of pineapple and 9 dark chocolate almonds.

  • Been to the gym every morning this week! Today I brought my oldest with me, a first time for him. Yesterday I unintentionally fasted until about 5:30, I just wasn't hungry. Before starting this I had already weaned myself off sweat tea and coffee (I only like super sweet and creamy bad coffee) but I've been basically doing a keto diet with some fruit added in, it's mulberry season here in Florida and it's our first year our tree is really producing so I wasn't going to give that up. Starting weight 375.5 down to 362.9 my 4% loss goal is 360.5. Only visual difference I've seen so far is my feet aren't swollen anymore.

I eat a small mug of oatmeal! I mix flax seed into my oats, add water, microwave for 77 seconds, stir in a spoonful of PB and a few dark chocolate chocolate chips. Tasty, filling, decent protein, low sugar, and high fiber.

Eating healthy used to feel too expensive. I stuck to junk and convenience foods for years because I thought that was all I could afford. But everything changed when I started eating whole foods—fruits, veggies, beans, and more.

Now, my grocery bill is way lower than it’s ever been. Seriously, it’s almost shocking. These foods fill me up fast and keep me full for hours. Sometimes, I must stop buying too much because I can’t eat it all before it goes bad.

It’s wild. I spend less, eat better, and feel better, too. I wish I’d started mindful eating sooner.

I still eat whatever I want, but I make sure I don’t exceed my calorie limit. I exercise mildly—walking, bodyweight moves, and dumbbells.

For the first time, I hit my weight goal weeks before a DietBet game ended. I’m living it, and I still can’t believe it.

I almost gave in to temptation yesterday. I survived by talking to myself out loud and not caring what people around me might think.

  • Hello everyone! Our game officially starts today and i'm so ready for a self love spring! For those of you who may not know me my name is Lexi (fatgirlfedup). I joined my first dietbet in 2016 and it helped me to lose 312lbs in two years with diet/exercise. No meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but just counting my calories, focusing on my diet with 30-60 mins of exercise 5x a week in the beginning. Here's a few things to get started:
    - Welcome! Together we are losing pounds and have become a community full of love, encouragement, and support! It brings me great joy to host and I love being part of such a positive weight loss space. We will have others joining us for 2 weeks so be sure to invite friends,family, and coworkers. You may literally save their life just by getting them to join in on the fun!
    - Diet is key! I use myfitnesspal to track all the food i'm eating and it helped me learn about nutrition labels, log my water/workouts, and showed me my progress!
    - MOVE! Try to get atleast 30 minutes of exercise 4-5x a week even if it's just walking. Every step adds up! I started with the elliptical 5x a week in the beginning as I was 485lbs and it helped me to not kill my knees. Start where you can and just focus on moving daily.
    - WATER is your best friend! I aim to drink a gallon a day. Water helps to keep you full, boost your metabolism, and can even help your skin while losing weight!
    - Let's be friends! Be sure to tag #fatgirlfedupsdietbet on all social media so we can find & cheer each other on!
    - PICTURES. Sometimes the scale doesn't tell the full story so be sure to take ALL the before pictures. I promise you WILL want them and we can't wait to see your transformation!
