  • Dinner tonight was 1/4 lb burger made with 90 lean ground beef. On one slice of village hearth cottage bread, 2 leaves of romaine, ketchup and mustard. 108g of baked grocery Arby’s fries and 6 petite dill pickles. 475 calories, 31g protein and 11 WW points. It really hit the spot.

  • Morning break walk. I used to do this but it’s been ages since I’ve been on a walk on my work breaks.

I love work walks. I take walks almost every day over my lunch break. We have a fitness center at my job, so I don't have to walk in the cold WI tundra, lol. Although we are having a heat wave at 13 degrees today, lol.

  • I started this in December, but I have my gallon water jug with the time stamps on it to keep me on track.

I also drink one cup of magnesium water and 1 cup of turmeric water.

I have my coffee with creatine, iodin, and mushroom.

I have a packet of greens, and I drink a cup of homemade stock for gut healing.

I make homemade Greek yogurt, and I prepare overnight oats weekly, so I eat one of those each day. The fermented yogurt helps heal my gut also.

Besides that, I've been focused on salad and fish for dinner.

My weakness is late night snacking. I threw away a bag of Stacy pita chips last night because the temptation was too strong. I LOVE THE CRUNCH

KlammJam

That turmeric water looks interesting! Turmeric is so good for us. My hubby and I have a turmeric/cinnamon/ginger tea that we drink.

Mellisa S.

Yum... I would be interested in hearing more about that.

Girl you know all the new snacks lololol

@Healthier2B. I finally got a chance to check. 250cal. I don’t know if I’d even want to try it. It’s too many WW points (7) for my liking. It does have 25g of carbs which seems high to me.

  • My first week went well. I am a WW girlie and I stayed within my points all week and consistently tracked. I’m also in 2 StepBets so have increased my movement. My first weigh-in I was down 3.4 pounds BUT my first week is always the most. Based on trends I’ll either hold the line or be down again this week, but not by much. Up week 3, and goal week 4. We’ll see if my analysis is right, lol.

  • Today’s breakfast was a quick one. Hubby and I dropped our daughter off at the Minneapolis airport for her Belize Study abroad trip and then drove 95 miles back home to our Wisconsin town. We both needed to get to work so a Kwik Trip banana and coffee on the road and then this protein bar when I got to work. 255 calories, 11g fiber and 2 WW points.

These protein bars are great in a pinch. I get them at Costco. The box also has lemon and a chocolate peanut butter. They remind me of rice crispy treats. The lemon is my favorite.

  • Sundays have always been our evening to just order take out and reset for the week. Not this Sunday! Made ground turkey meatballs stuffed with mushrooms, onions and spinach over green beans. Dessert was blueberries with plain Greek yogurt with a sprinkle of cinnamon and brown sugar.

KlammJam

Those Turkey meatballs sound delish. And I love blueberries and Greek yogurt. If you use frozen berries, it’ll turn your yogurt almost into a frozen yogurt as the berries thaw and start freezing the yogurt.

Figgy

Omg! Cinnamon it’s a must

  • Meal prep Sunday- Philly cheesesteak bowl

*I use ground turkey and regular white rice. I also measure the mushrooms and green peppers with my heart ????

Prep Time 10 minutes minsCook Time 15 minutes minsTotal Time 25 minutes mins Servings 4 meal preps Calories 240
    Ingredients
1- 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
    1 medium green pepper, diced
    1 small onion, sliced
    2 cups sliced mushrooms
    2 teaspoons Worcestershire
    1/4 cup beef broth
1 cup shredded colby jack cheese (or traditional provalone!)
    1 cup cooked basmati rice

    Instructions
Cook your rice according to the package.
While the rice cooks, in a large frying pan, on medium heat, saute the beef until half way cooked.
Add the green pepper, onion, and mushrooms to the pan. Let simmer until beef cooked throughout. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add the Worcestershire and beef broth to the pan. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the broth is mostly absorbed.
Add the cheese to the mixture, and remove from heat. Residual heat will make the cheese all melty.
Divide the Philly cheesesteak mixture into 3-4 meal prep containers (depending on preferred portions) and add 1/2 cup cooked rice (or cauli rice) to each container.
Allow to cool, then refrigerate for up to 4 days.
