  • The first 6 days have gone well-
    Diet -tracked all the food, did eat out but made good choices, have been leaving food on my plate which is huge for me (childhood learned behaviors are hard to break)
    Meal planning- this is one area I need to improve in as well as upping my protein
    Water- getting over 100 oz a day, will be increasing to 120 oz slowly
    Exercise- have been walking & getting to the beach for that most days, as I set an intention this year to get to the beach more as it’s a major stress reducer for me.Today I did a slower beach walk, and did a 30 min incline treadmill
    I took Sunday as a rest day, because I donated platelets & wasn’t supposed to do anything strenuous, but did get a walk in which prompted me to change my steps goal
    From 10K a day to 70k a week.
    I’m so glad I joined this DB- I needed the accountability/motivation.
    Y’all are probably going to get tired of seeing my name in comments & posts. Being engaged here daily helps me stay motivated & pushes me to keep going.

  • My first week went great (besides being sick) I’ve lost 71 lbs over the past 2 years I gained about 90 after COVID
    It’s been slow but consistent loss. The scale doest move often. Sometimes for over a month. Then BOOM 3-4 lbs will come off. It’s like my body needs to make sure we’re still doing this before it releases any weight 😅
    Anyway, this week was one of those “boom” weeks and I finally came off a month plateau

  • This is one of my all time favorite breakfasts. 2 basted eggs, 1-1/4 cup frozen hashbrowns sautéed with 1/4 cup chopped onion and 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper. I use a spritz of Pam cooking spray to keep from sticking. And 1/3 cup of 2% low fat cottage cheese. 315 calories, 25g protein and only 2 WW points. If you’re a volume eater, this hits the spot. I like to smash mine all together and eat it like a hotdish. I do sprinkle with a bit of Lowry’s.

  • Big win for me this first Saturday of the year, got up earlier than normal and walked for 30 minutes on incline then on my way into work grabbed a spinach feta wrap with a water instead of a pistachio cold brew that I would normally have gotten. Probably saved myself atleast 250 cals, not to mention $7.00!

    Cheers to the small choices we make though the weekend adding up to results we will need to make it to our end goal!

    Make sure you get in any extra movement that you can burning any extra calories can really help at the end of the day.

  • What’s everyone’s plan to stay on track over the weekend?
    For me I’m keeping busy but I do have a family meal Sunday for my Granddaughters birthday so only eating until I’m satisfied not until I’m stuffed and plenty of exercise.

  • Finally made it to the grocery store!

    Lots of proteins and veggies, avocados and low carb tortillas.
    Chicken thighs, drumsticks & ground turkey.
    Yellow and green squash, white onion, broccoli, red peppers, cabbage, spring mix, tomatoes and cucumbers for salads!

    Grabbed some pretzel chips and some smart pop for a snack or a protein shake.

    Prepping some protein now that we will eat for dinner and leftovers tomorrow with veggies and white rice.

    Breakfasts I usually just eat eggs with feta cheese maybe hash brown patty. Somedays I skip breakfast all together just depends how I feel day to day. I’m sure as we move forward this month I’ll plan some meals but for now keeping it simple.
