I lost a good amount a few years ago, but then gained it back during Covid. Since then, I've been yo-yo-ing but I'm determined this is it. My first niece/nephew is expected in March, so that's my goal date.

Question: Do Men and Women Lose Weight Differently?
by - 08/15/2016 3:44PM

Is it me or is it (typically) a lot easier for men to lose weight than women? For instance, I've bee... Read More ›

It's real and has been studied. Women hold on to fat more than men. That's why shows like The Biggest Loser use weight loss % and not pounds lost. Men, and especially if they're heavier, lose it faster.

Hormones are definitely working in favor of the guys - at least as long as they are young. And no offense, but a lot of guys have extremely unhealthy eating habits. If they drink gallons of soda each week and cut that out it might be enough to cause weight loss (as long as their metabolism is still high and they are young enough). I don't even drink any soda... so no option to cut calories out either. Good to know: If you build muscles ('toned' is enough, no need to go crazy), your metabolism will be higher all day long, not only while working out. So build some sexy definition and burn calories for free all day long!

this is how I do it..................... I ask if I can pick the restaurant and I go somewhere I know calories and get what I can count! then I say, regarding movie snacks.... I would love a diet coke but I think the popcorn would be too much after having dinner! (I am just too full)... not mentioning the fact that I have dieted all week and now I am going to completely ruin it... but here is another thought you can't just keep avoiding everyone.. you have to figure out a way.. so here are a few tricks... avoid carbs... get sandwich but no fries... drink low calorie beverages... EAT SLOW... don't eat the bread... I have been doing this for a few months now... it works..

I am OBSESSED with Pokemon Go! My husband made fun of me when I downloaded it while we were on vacation in Pennsylvania but now he is super obsessed with it. We went for a walk this morning with our baby and he was mad because the server was down. We only did a mile and half because there were no Pokemon to find. But hopefully the server is back up by tonight because he wants to go hunting Pokemon when it cools down again in the evening! It's a great way to get out there and walk around.

Fantastic! I love nsvs especially when it involves lifestyle change. I am just back from a beach holiday and it was the first time I worked out when I was on holiday and the crazy thing is that I enjoyed it! So happy to see we are making lifelong changes and not a quick fix for a month :) xxx
