So I won, by a whole 0.2lb. It took until 36 hours into the weighing out period to make it. I couldn’t work out why I wasn’t losing the last bit recently when I was eating so healthily (can’t do the exercise part because of long covid).

Then I got that familiar stomach ache a couple of days ago, oh hello period!! Could you have timed it any better? No way was I losing though, so we battled through regardless 😊

I just had a massive realisation, because I’m about to go on a month long holiday for our 20th anniversary… right before the final weigh in of my transformer game! I CAN eat and drink absolutely anything I want - it’s all about the quantities. I don’t need to stuff my face till I feel sick, no one enjoys feeling that way.

I’m now positive I will maintain if not lose more weight over the next month, and I WILL WIN my transformer! I really think this is a massive thing for me and thought I’d share in case it helps just one person. Well done everyone on this journey, winner or runner-up 😍

  • The 3rd challenge is the Nutrition Challenge!

Here is the challenge if you choose to accept:

*Eat 5 servings a day from the fruit/vegetable group, 5 days this week.

It can be all vegetables or any combo of both. What is a serving? For the purpose of our challenge we will use the American Heart Association definition: Vegetables: 1 cup of raw leafy vegetables (about the size of a small fist), 1/2 cup of other vegetables or 1/2 cup of vegetable juice. Fruits: 1 medium fruit (the size of a baseball); 1/2 cup chopped, cooked or canned fruit; or 1/2 cup juice.

One suggestion, but not part of the challenge: Please post at least one picture of a healthy meal you eat this week. It provides great ideas for everyone in our game! And remember to make healthy food choices in other food groups but we are not measuring those for this challenge.

**At the end of the week I will ask you to comment under a post I will have pinned at the top of the game page. You will need to click on (comment) below that post and report in there. You will have until Saturday 10:00 PM Pacific Time to report in. I will then put all the players who completed this weeks challenge into our drawing for a $30 Amazon gift card or PayPal cash!

  • What diet/lifestyle are you guys finding good weight loss success with? I've been vegetarian for many years and have been trying to eat more plant-based. My portions are still too much and I snack a lot and there are a lot of vegan junk food options. So I'm trying to work on correcting those. (plus water, gym, and tracking)

Tammy, we definitely share the same sense of humour :joy: re getting past a plateau, if you can go quite hardcore, an ‘almost fast’ for as many days as possible (I eat just enough to take my medication, maybe have a little soup, something that is just all good eg kimchi, basically no sugar, no carbs, no alcohol ) always gets me at least a good 4 or 5lb real fat loss, more on a longer fast. Drinking whenever you think you’re hungry, by the second night you won’t even feel it any more and you’ll just have incredible amounts of energy. I’ve done six days and four or five is easy now. It really shows how much time we spend thinking (obsessing, really) about food, the next meal, whatever. When you just stop needing to do that, the amount of extra stuff you’ll get done is incredible and it also gives you so much inner strength when you realise you can do something other people say is impossible. Start with a day or two and extend it, not more than once a month. They’re amazing for making you realise you can do anything you put your mind to, and you will never say you’re starving again. Look up autophagy, the science is mind blowing for real long term mad health benefits!

I have actually come across this before - the human body is AMAZING!! Every time I think we are getting closer to understanding, weight loss science says, "Hold my protein drink!"

NonScale Victory…..
I have one of those “big girl” bras with four rows of hooks in the back. I am now at the LAST ROW OF HOOKS!!!!

I have body dysmorphia so bad and can’t see any changes but this is a huge clue that change is happening!!!

Well done JessiRee, I know the joy of slowly having a bra get too big as well :joy: another thing that might help you is to take measurements of just a few areas. Sometimes it’s very difficult to see a change, but the tape measure doesn’t lie! Keep going, you got this

Taneil L.

Great job, keep it up!!

I stayed off the scale all month so I wouldn’t get discouraged, and figured, win or lose, I was just going to keep pushing through and choosing healthier choices and more exercise 60-70% of the time, and I stepped on the scale this morning and I DID IT—I BEAT MY GOAL! I’m so proud of this. The mental stuff is working and the choices are easier.

Congrats to everyone for working so hard this month!!!
