This challenge starts tomorrow. Currently I'm "weighing up" my options (pun intended):

MY PLAN FOR LOSING ALMOST 13 POUNDS FROM 321.2 TO 308.4

EXERCISE:

Running is out of the question as this would hurt my knees. But walking, I can do. Let see if I can reach the well-known 10k steps a day.

FOOD STRATEGY:

1) Intermittence Fasting: First Meal will be lunch at 1:00pm and early dinner at 6:00pm. No Snacking!

2) Lose the Sodas: This one will be hard, but it well could be the most powerful option of the whole challenge.

3) Learn to like Salad: Will experiment a lot with different salad options. I don't really like them so it will be an acquired taste for me.

4) Reduce Carbs: I am not talking about elimination, but I am sure that my current intake is very high. Limit to no more than 75g. I am sure that at the moment I am having more than 150g.

5) Increase Proteins: Chicken breast will be my friend in this challenge. Also, I plan to eat eggs (the perfect protein supply).

6) Sleep: I always go to bed later than 12 and must wake at 6. Can't do nothing about the 6 but will do my best to add 1 or maybe 2 hours of Zzzz.

So that's it! That is my plan. It is very strict for me, but if I follow it to 80%, I am sure that I will reach my goal and maybe more.

I wanted to write my plan as a way to make myself accountable to my DietBet group. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!

p.s.
I hope that my English is not too hard to understand as it is my second language.

Great plan!!! Keep us updated on the salad quest...I'm curious if you'll learn to like them

I love salads. I use a package of a kale slaw blend and add bits of other stuff to make it taste good. Usually tomato, cucumber, feta, beetroot. Sometimes I’ll bake some pumpkin and sweet potatoes and freeze them to add to the salad. I also prepare and freeze chicken before hand. I find salads very versatile and easy.

  • Gm cream of wheat and coffee to start my morning off. Congratulations 🎊 to all the winners. I didn't win this one as it was my very first one, and I had a few setbacks, unfortunately, but I'm thinking of joining the next one, but idk just don't want to disappoint myself again ......?

You should still be proud of yourself for making changes towards health. Don't give up!

Arina26

Don't give up! When I started on my journey it felt hard but I began to make small changes to my meals and also started moving my body. The more I did, the better I felt though. Even a quick 10 minute walk--there are some great beginner walks on YouTube (I love Jessica Smith walk and talks). Keep going--you are worth it!

Still not sure if I’ll win the last round. I’m weighing in tomorrow but I joined this one anyway. I love the community and I get to share with people that actually care to hear about weightloss related things. If you knew me from the last one say hi!!

Well 2.1 pounds to go in 1 more day to weigh. I don’t k ow why I’ve slowed down so much after the 1st week. I’ll weigh in the morning again but don’t think I’ll make it. But I lost 10 1/2 pounds this month which is still amazing

Water, water, water! It’s taken me until this round to realize water makes a HUGE difference. Also helped me when I got the late night munchies when I knew I wasnt actually hungry. I’d just sit with my water bottle on me and drink it out of boredom instead of grabbing a snack.

Cassandra F.

You did so good!

Sunday morning I was 150.6 (3.8 lbs below goal). This morning I was 155. 😂 Literally have done nothing different. Why are our bodies so weird and confusing? I’ve been at/below goal since the 14th and randomly my body says HAHA JOKES ON YOU. But it’s okay, juice cleansing and getting my water in today. Whatever happens will happen. I don’t need advice, just here to vent and if anyone else is also experiencing this weirdness you aren’t alone! 😂

I had salad and egg roll in a bowl one day. That was it. Gained 1.5.

So crazy!

Oh no, Stacy!! Sodium, maybe? I hate how every day is a struggle, but my husband can skip his dessert and lose 5 pounds:joy:

18 pounds down, 276 to go! I have to be in this for the long haul. Personal share warning: After 8 years of abuse, 3 years ago and pregnant with our 5th child, I escaped from H E double you know what, a "relationship". In the year that followed I gained 100+lbs, on top of the 314 I already was. I could no longer swim, because I had/have the kids 24/7, no breaks. But, what was my fault, is that I ate and ate. Now, I can barely stand! This is one major point of control, to make life better for my kids and me. I'm sharing this to gather strength, because the end is near to this diet bet. (Yes I'm entering the next one!) But, there are 3 days in between. I have to find a different way to celebrate that isn't overeating. Thank you all again so much. I've NEVER intentionally lost weight in my life before this last month. I'm amazed and hopeful.
