  • Any other sourdough bread makers out there?

I know bread can be viewed as a dieting “no no” for a lot of people but sourdough is actually much easier for our bodies to digest because of the fermentation process it goes through that breaks down the gluten. It also can be good for your gut health as it contains prebiotics and has probiotic qualities. And for anyone who struggles with blood sugars making the switch to a homemade sourdough will have less of an impact on your sugars than normal bread.

If you’re having a bread craving I highly recommend finding someone local to you to purchase a homemade loaf from.

It has 3 simple ingredients. Unbleached flour, water and less than 12 grams of salt per LOAF. That is it, nothing else which is incredible.

You can still have bread and hit your goals!

SAM , that’s awesome! Keep us updated!

This. Removing any entire food group outside of allergies is a red flag to me and a gateway to disordered eating. To quote Oprah I love bread

  • It’s cold here in TX. We’re just not used to this. It was hard to motivate to walk to the gym this morning, but I did it!

I’m in SA and I know the feeling. I also think a lot of us are holding our breath and crossing our fingers that the power grid doesn’t fail us this year!

Most definitely. I went to HEB last night and it was a mad house, everyone is freaking out a little bit for sure.

  • Lunch/dinner was the healthiest I've made myself in months: mixed greens, chicken, eggs, avacado, and fresh berries sprinkled with balsamic vinegar.

  • Definitely feeling it with the last 2 days on the CVG challenge. I haven’t really done targeted workouts other than walking/jogging in a very long time. Another part of the challenge was to put a motivational wallpaper on our phones. I’m not a live laugh love kind of gal so enjoy my judgmental water drop. Who else sucks at water intake here? 😄

I just commented on someone’s post - about my desperate need to drink more water - mind you I do love pickles

Amanda L.

haha I just realized I never explained the pickles are just there because I love them. Strangely they don’t seem to help me feel thirsty though

Won the November challenge but soon after that, my husband and my 3 years old got involved in a car crash. Miraculously nothing happened to them but the car was a wreck and my son is still having post traumatic symptoms. This took a toll on me and I went back to emotional eating, and of couse to feeling guilty whenever I do it. So this challenge is an opportunity for me to get back on track and improve my physical and mental health. Good luck everyone!

Hi Nora- my 5 yo and I were involved in an accident 2.5 years ago and I’m still trying to get back my body and mindset. Sending love to you and your family- the emotions may take a long time to subside

  • Hello all, DietBet veteran here. I used to do these before Covid hit and won most. Once Covid hit, I lost my job, had to move out of the house I was living in, and lived in my small RV (with a kitchenette at best) for over 4 years. My girlfriend and I moved (Nov. 1st) into a condo where I have a decent sized kitchen again. We both agreed to start dieting after New Years; I’ll be Lazy Keto again, she’ll do Weight Watchers again. Good luck to everyone 😊😊

Good luck to you! I bet it feels good to have more space to work with in the kitchen again.

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself! I started off this journey just under 300 lbs about 5 years ago. Thanks to dietbet, keto and cico - I was able to lose over 100 lbs (and successfully keep it all off - even through extremely stressful times). Last December, I decided to stop vaping (heavy user) and over the course of this past year I have gained over 30 lbs. I plan to use my same plans as before to be successful - wishing each of you luck throughout this amazing journey and transformation! Let's do this!

We have a similar weight timeline. I was just under 300 about 4 years ago and lost about 89 pounds before gaining about 17 back over the holidays this year. It’s good to remember how far we have come when dealing with setbacks. Good luck and happy new year!

Joshua

Just got keep remembering that it's possible and will happen again!
