I’ll be weighing in tomorrow. We helped friends clean their house they are listing for sale over the weekend, and they paid us in pizza, lol. I didn’t overdo it, but am retaining water big time and am so swollen and bloated, which is putting me a tidge over my goal. Here is to one more day of flushing the system. My main task was washing baseboards and 6-panel doors for 5 hours on Saturday. My legs and shoulders are so sore, but I’m a good workout kind of way.

They cleared it. I have to wait and weigh in tomorrow. I was exactly my goal weight this morning so hopefully I don't gain. You never know, our bodies are crazy. Lol.

  • I thought this game would help keep me accountable but being in NOLA for Mardi Gras had other plans ???? It wasn’t even the drinking yall… I had 3 the whole time I was there. It was my eating! I had one true meal a day and protein bars/jerky the rest of the time because we were always on the go! Did get 15k steps a day though!

Oh girl!!!!!! I went to Nola for Mardi Gras a few years back and OMG ate like a queen. Such a great experience that has so much food involved in the culture that is so hard to avoid! Happy you had a great time. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I sent Amazon gift card! Let me know that you got it.

Hello all. I have been on a fitness journey for the last year following the birth of my 3rd baby. I lost 60 lbs (!) over 9 months but have been in a plateau for the past 3 months or so. I finally started to see the scale move again the first of the year but lost focus and my diet fell off the wagon right before the start of this diet bet. Last week was so tough, struggling with sugar cravings and maintaining consistency with my deficit. Hoping to press the reset button this weekend and really dial it in for the rest of this diet bet. Thankful for this support and encouragement!

I try to eat things like beans, sweet potatoes and fruit throughout the day so I don’t end up craving sweets! The carbs satisfy me, and with a nice balance of leafy greens and protein I’m usually too full to overeat

Sugar cravings are SO real, Lindsey! Make sure you are getting enough protein and drinking plenty of water! When all else fails, try to distract yourself. Maybe start a new hobby, or go for a walk before giving in to your craving.

Hi all. It's been a few years since I've had access to a gym. I'm in a rural now and it's so discouraging to not have the same social structure as when I did HIIT/functional fitness classes. Anything like that is an hour away and so expensive. I get so discouraged exercising alone but don't have money for good equipment or subscriptions.... basically I've used it all as am excuse and have done nothing for over 2 years. I'm the heaviest I've ever been, including pregnancies. I'm turning 44 this year and I want to get back to being the lady who literally can climb mountains and deadlift my husband.
I guess I'm fortunate in the fact that I got here by doing nothing so I'm hoping that doing SOMETHING will make a difference.
I've done challenges in the past and found them satisfying. I look forward to having people who are excited for my success keeping me accountable.

Hi Sarah! I know it's not the same as going to the gym or a fitness class, but I definitely recommend looking up some workouts on YouTube. I think once you find a trainer you like, it can be very motivating! I hope you find what works for you!

I don't know why I have to do 2 posts - I couldn't see what I was writing at the bottom of the first one. Grrr.

Anyway - no nightshade veggies, no fake sugar and no processed foods. Sooooo ... lol. It's meat, veggies and fruit. After awhile I can add in things and see how I feel. So I thought since I probably am going to lose weight, I might as well do dietbet!!!

Btw - all the times (maybe not the first time, I don't remember), but I join 3 kickstarters, 3 member ones and 3 transformers. If you are going to do one and you are committed - might as well do them all!! Just have to definitely keep an eye on your weigh ins and outs!!! I would suggest keeping your kickstarters and member ones starting at the same time and then taking a little break at the end of the month. I was overlapping them and that got a little hard. So not this time!!
