Hello, everyone! I'm here, but health issues have me going in the wrong direction. I'm going to have to work VERY hard to make the goal for this one, I'm afraid.
But I'm not going to stop trying. Even if I don't make the goal, I will have lost weight and that will add to the total already lost and I'll consider it a win!
I'm so sorry, Keith. I know it feels like such an uphill battle dealing with health issues along with trying to improve health. Sounds like you are being positive about it and looking at it in a healthy manner. Don't give up and keep going. You might just surprise yourself. As long as we are moving in the right direction we are succeeding! You got this! I'm here to cheer you on.
Hi everyone!! I'm Mary. I promised myself I'd actively participate if I joined another DB challenge so here I am. A week in so I better start now. Lol
I've done several dietbets over the past few years. Rocked some and failed a few miserably but I'm not a quitter! Lol I have had some health issues and 4 surgeries over the past 15 months but I am ready to make my health and fitness a priority again. I am ready to feel better. I've been going to the gym and my endurance is improving quite a bit so that makes me happy. I still have a ways to go to get back to where I was when I stopped going to the gym for medical reasons but I'm getting there slowly.
My goal this week is to eat healthy food that doesn't upset my stomach (no cheese or lactose ugh) and to workout at least 4 days.
Remember nutrition over working out! It's great you want to do both but if you feel yourself not being able to keep up with both, nutrition is priority! It takes A LOT to out work a bad diet.
My weekend was not the greatest but not horrible. I drank too much sugar yesterday while out which is not typical for me but I splurged. Resetting and going to kick butt this week.
I was disappointed the weather was so cold and windy, boohoo. I managed to stay on track because I had meal prepped, which I don't do enough. Stayed busy, but mostly in the house.
Ingredients: blueberry raspberry 1 ½ cups vanilla greek yogurt
Preparation * Arrange cupcake liners in a muffin tin. * Using a spoon, dollop two tablespoons of yogurt into the bottom of each liner. * Top with blueberries and raspberries. * Freeze for at least two hours. * Remove cupcake liners before serving.
Anyone else emotionally eat? I tragically lost my big brother 9/20 in a motorcycle accident, he was 33 years old and had a full life ahead of him. I somehow made it through his services this week and managed to still lose a pound. I allowed myself to eat when I felt hungry and was mindful of my portions. I didn’t hit my macros like I wanted, didn’t track anything, and definitely didn’t make my water goals. Goes to show that portion control in general is a huge factor.
I am so very sorry for your loss. My condolences and prayers. Give yourself grace and good job for staying the course. I can't even imagine how hard that is for you right now. I definitely emotionally eat. It's been a lifelong struggle for me but I'm very mindful now.
Thank you guys for the kind words:heart: I’ve decided to get back to basics and start meal prep again in the morning. Having easy to grab meals makes it easier for me to stay on track, and I got some sweet protein treats so I won’t grab for the garbage.
Hello all. I’m Thomas and I’m here to share with you that it is worth it. And I’m back to doing what it takes to Get ‘er Done! For me that is maximizing my commitment to myself and betting to NOT Lose my money in multiple games.
I utilize Extended fasting and daily exercise on my bike, indoor or outdoor.
Here is a list of games I am in and upcoming games already committed to. See comments to see the rest of my list.
My plans are to be in the games well into February and be back in Onederland.
Feels good to stay on track and see success. I’m almost to the ten pounds lost mark, for me that’s huge for one month. From here on out I’d like to see 5+ pounds a month. I think that’s manageable.
Weigh in for round 1 is a few days away. To meet my round 2 goal, I’ll need to lose 5.2 pounds in the next 4 weeks. Very doable, if I stay on target.
This past week I managed to meet my nutrition goals, but not my workout goals. I really love intermittent fasting. It just works for me. I just need to tighten up my exercise and just make space in my schedule.
Ugh, I think we've all been there. Now that you're tracking, you can take control. Plus you'll be able to see the results better as you lose as well. Use it as motivation! You got this.
What inspires me is when someone encourages me not to give up.
This photo was me a few weeks ago. I had lost 18 pounds over the course of 6 months. Then the awful happened. I fell, I spent 2 weeks sitting on the sofa recovering ( still recovering). Today got on the scale for 1st time and I just cried….. I had gained 15 pounds back simply because I continued to eat like I had been….. problem, I had been riding my bike 25-40 miles a day now I was just sitting. I knew I was gaining just didn’t know how much. Ugh!
My husband suggested I do another one of those bet things to help me be accountable again….
What a great husband!! Mine supports me on this bet as well. I'm fresh out of an 8 week recovery from two surgeries. This is my fresh start as well. We got this!!
I’m on the same path. I’m back on my bike too. Mostly Trainer miles while watching Netflix or Sports. While my swing has been much more than yours, I am just as excited to be doing the right things again to get me back to Onederland.
